Fellow Clubhouse Members: Be sure to proofread all of your Clubhouse posts inside the Clubhouse.

Don't let this happen to you.

Several times recently I have come across Clubhouse posts with a title, some tags, and absolutely nothing in between. I’ve notified the people if there was a way to do it, but, rather than try to notify everybody in the future individually, I want to post this:

  • Be sure to proofread all of your Clubhouse posts inside the Clubhouse.

As Clubhouse members need to know, the Clubhouse routinely blocks videos from showing. Reminder: A hyperlink to the video needs to be added above the video to enable the reader to watch the video offsite. If your only content is a video, the hyperlink will be the only thing to show in your post.

In my humble opinion, it would be a good idea to routinely have a written introduction to all videos that you post in a Clubhouse post:

  • This will keep your post from being totally blank except for the hyperlink
  • This will give the reader an idea of what the video is about.

Whatever content you have in your Clubhouse post, be sure to proofread it in the Clubhouse, and make sure the content came though as you planned.
