  1. Ed

I had to give up watching Lost after series 2 because it got bought by another channel that you had to pay for, rather than being on a free channel like it was before. It\’s a shame, but good I suppose because it was so captivating it was getting annoying! We have got Hero\’s now though on a different free channel which I think is much better.

  2. X-Evolutionist

I am seriously addicted to Heroes as much as I am seriously addicted to Lost. Is there a Heroes group, I wonder?

  3. Ed

yet another case for group searching!

  4. Jen

When I first read the title of this blog, I wondered "who had \’lost\’ Live"! Then I came here and read it thinking, "no wonder my friends call me the \’silly old fool\’;)

  5. X-Evolutionist

I am still looking for a Windows Live Lost Group. Help help.

  6. Jen

Get your own going, X. If anyone grumbles, you\’ll soon find out there\’s another one! I\’m no help as I don\’t watch it.

  7. X-Evolutionist

I\’m assuming that there\’s got to be a Lost group already. Lost fans are compulsive are knowing every detail and hashing out different answers to the mysteries. Thanks, Jen.

  8. Greg

X, I may have already mentioned this to you offline somewhere, but have you ever visited http://www.lostpedia.com? Great wiki with tons of information on all things Lost.

  9. X-Evolutionist

Thanks, Greg. Yes, Lostpedia is great! Thank you very much for making sure that I know about it. I still want to be in a Lost Windows Live Group, by golly, even if I have to make my good budy Greg start one…..

  10. Tracey

Talk to Kimmy and her/my friend Wildcatboth crazy about Lostand Mandy

  11. Tracey

Maybe instead of a WL group a fansite? Should be plenty

  12. Docextreme

It\’s a good program I have seen it a few times.

  13. X-Evolutionist

Thanks Tracey, I participate in a Lost group elsewhere. I was just hoping there would be one here in my neighborhood, Windows Live, where I like to hang out. I don\’t like having to leave my neighborhood just to discuss my favorite TV show.

  14. X-Evolutionist

Thanks, Doc. Although Lost is not a program you can see a few times and make any sense of it. It\’s like an old movie serial. The hero is left hanging off that cliff at the end of one show, and you have to come back next week to see if he gets rescued. (origin of the term "cliff hanger for those who don\’t know.)

  15. Jeffrey

Hey, how do you find specific groups anyway? I love Lost and want to join. What\’s the link to the group?

  16. Rory

@Jeff if you could find this group, would it still be Lost ?? Wow, didn\’t realise this show was so popular, I\’ve only watched one and it had some weird sort of creatures running around after a dwarf …. actually as I type, I think I might be thinking of another show here.

  17. X-Evolutionist

Rory, I think that was another show. Lost is bizarre, but I don\’t remember that happening. I have seen every episode. This one has people, a smoke monster, an invisible island leader, dead guys who come back to life, time travelers, movable islands, and normal stuff like that. But, you are right. If we did find a Lost group, it would no longer be Lost. Good point!Xhttp://hackmsnspaces.groups.live.com/http://Stump-the-Creationist.groups.live.com/

  18. Rory

Wow, now you\’ve listed that lot of goings on. I doubt anyone would notice a dwarf being chased around by a funny looking creature anyway!! I realised it afterwards it was something on Cartoon network I watched with my youngest son, must ask him what it was. More a Johnny Test fan meself!

  19. X-Evolutionist

I love cartoons, but my favorites are the Warner Bros cartoons from WWII. They used to play those on TV when I was a kid in the fifties and sixties. I also love the old MGM cartoons, and of course, Disney.

  20. X-Evolutionist

Jeffrey: I do not know of a Lost group. There is no way to search groups, yet. I have too many groups to start a new one. But, please, somebody, start a Lost group!

  21. Rory

Nice one. Bugs and co are excellent! Sadly/happily, I was also a sixties child …. I\’m bloomin\’ 45 this year!! I used to like these at the local fleapit in Longsight in Manchester, though my ma didn\’t have a TV back then so it was only Saturday mornings…excellent though!!

  22. Greg

I\’m considering starting one, X. But first I want to check whether the most likely candidate (http://lost.groups.live.com) is in fact about the show. I\’ve submitted a request to join. If someone else has already created a group, I don\’t want to recreate the wheel. I\’ll keep my fellow Losties posted as I know more.

  23. X-Evolutionist

I applied to join that same group, but it only has one member. I was hoping it was you.

  24. X-Evolutionist

lost Members (1)You\’re a visitor to this group.

  25. X-Evolutionist

Rory, I\’ve got a decade on you, but we never get too old for cartoons, do we?

  26. Greg

Nope. Looks like we\’re both Barbarians at the gate.

  27. Rory

Never too old X!! And hey, you don\’t look a day over 21, in fact, looking at your profile picture, you look like ……. a parrot ……. but a young parrott!!

  28. X-Evolutionist

Greg: Maybe we can take over that Lost group – contact the owner? No members!Rory, that handsome parrot is Rufus, I do not know how old he was. I bought him used.

  29. Greg

What are we now, Crusaders? LOL. That does seem to be our strategy. Let\’s see if we can join first and win over their hearts and minds.Something about the notion of a "used parrot" just made me chuckle.

  30. X-Evolutionist

Greg, you did notice there is one member. I applied to join last week. No response. I like to use the term "used" to publicize the need to adopt pre-owned pets. People don\’t mind used cars, but want new, baby pets.Hey Greg, start a NEW group. "4 8 15 16 23 42" would be a good group name.

  31. Mandy

I have sky plussed Lost and will be watching 2nd episode tonight, so no spoilers please!! Yet another group without the ability to get new members wouldn\’t that be a Lost cause? ( sorry really bad pun )

  32. X-Evolutionist

Mandy. It is a very difficult thing you ask of the internet to not talk about episodes of Lost that you have not seen. If you join a Lost group, you will have to be sure to join a group who has only seen as many episodes as you have. You will hear spoilers from time to time, whether you want to or not. It\’s just too much to ask.Next, I will tell you what "Rosebud" is.

  33. X-Evolutionist

and, Yes, it was a bad pun!

  34. Mandy

I know the first time I went over to Bob\’s he had, the end of CSI, or at least of Grissom (sp?)we haven\’t got that series here yet! DOH!!!How many episodes, of Lost, are you up to in the States?

  35. X-Evolutionist

Lost came on in the USA in 2004. It just started its fifth season. How about you?

  36. Mandy

I think 2004 as well but about 6 months after you, I have a friend, met on here actually and a facebook contact still who gets (somehow) to watch American showings. We are also in series 5 but the episode I recorded last night was only the 2nd, which I\’m going to watch later!

  37. Mandy

Oh and I had to look up the "Rosebud" reference (google is such a wonderful thing! LOL) … never watched citizen Kane, A bit like me saying the answer is 42, ( I think Greg may get that!)

  38. X-Evolutionist

Mandy, Well it wasn\’t me who ruined Citizen Kane for you! The whole plot of the movie is trying to find out who Rosebud was. It\’s still a good movie, though. I\’ve seen it a zillion times, and counting.

  39. Mandy

From the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the ultimate question was – what is the meaning of life?after 7million years, the computer came up with the answer 42!Did they ever find out who Rosebud was?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Answer_to_Life,_the_Universe,_and_Everything#Answer_to_Life.2C_the_Universe.2C_and_Everything_.2842.29

  40. Greg

Interestingly, the mysterious numbers haven\’t been seen in a while. Wonder what\’s the significance of that?@ Mandy – If you crave the latest episodes right away, there\’s always BitTorrent.

  41. X-Evolutionist

Ahem, Mandy, did you just spoil the ending of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy for everybody? (tit for tat Mandy. Tee hee) I\’m still trying to talk my hubby into watching it with me.I read the book a million years ago. All I remember is that it is important to have a towel.

  42. X-Evolutionist

Greg, you got BitTorrent on the brain. Lately, that\’s the answer to most questions…

  43. X-Evolutionist

4 8 15 16 23 42. Greg, I think the numbers quit being interesting when we found out where the numbers came from and why everybody knew them. The only odd thing is how it makes Hurley unlucky. "Dude. You got some Arnst on you"

  44. Greg

BitTorrent is a font of all things, good and evil. Need a file? BitTorrent. Have a question? BitTorrent. Got an unsightly blemish? BitTorrent. Need someone taken care of? BitTorrent. LOL.

  45. Mandy

yeah when they first came out, the world and it\’s brother used those numbers in the lottery. I wonder if anyone actually won anything?

  46. Mandy

@ ah bitTorrent so that\’s how he did it! Ithink I\’ll wait aptiently each week thanks and watch it on 42" (LOL honestly I just realised and there was absolutely no intention of any sort of pun!!)

  47. X-Evolutionist

Greg said: Need someone taken care of? BitTorrentFull time nursing care?

  48. Mandy

OK watched it now! you can say what you like! …….. I\’d just like to mention that Abigail Spencer, had the worst London accent since Dick Van Dyke!! Gor bless \’im!!

  49. X-Evolutionist

There are some shows starring "PC Term for people from the UK" including House, The Mentalist, too of my favorite shows. What do you prefer to be called? Brits, the English? I\’m serious. I do not want to say something offensive.

  50. X-Evolutionist

I forgot to say, they are pretty good with the American accents, but they slip up once in a while. Hugh Laurie is pretty good with House.

  51. Mandy

Strictly speaking I am English, born in England, which happens to be in Britain, but as long as it\’s done with affection X, you can call me whatever you want !! (A Welshman or a Scot may have more of a problem than I, though)Funny when i hear Brit\’s doing an American accent it never sounds so good to me, maybe because people like Hugh Laurie, I\’ve seen so often, that it just sounds odd!

  52. X-Evolutionist

Thanks, Mandy! So "Brit" is acceptable? That\’s I was going to say, but I wasn\’t sure if it was nice. I think it is funny when Hugh Laurie speaks in his regular accent. I\’m so used to him as Gregory House. Do you get that? He\’s great. He\’s also hosted Saturday Night Live. That\’s when I found out about his comedy roots.

  53. Mandy

I love Hugh Laurie as a comedian, Fry and Laurie are the shows to watch out for…….very British humour, hilarious! Yes Brit is acceptable, and sounds way better than "you English" 😉
